REAL ESTATE BROKER
Real Estate may not have been my first career, but it has always been my passion! Coming from a background in finance and accounting, I am a highly skilled numbers guy with very strong negotiation skills, and an incredible understanding of money matters that assist me in getting you the best price and terms possible on the sale or purchase of your home.
I currently sit as a Director of the Ottawa Real Estate Board, and volunteer for a number of organizations and community initiatives. I am a well connected, ethical and respected Realtor®. I have a calming demeanor and perform well in high stress situations; these traits helped us rank in the top 3% of Realtors in our Marketplace for 2019 & 2020.
My twenty plus year’s experience buying, selling and flipping properties, combined with a strong construction background obtained from designing and building custom homes; gives me the knowledge and experience necessary that when I walk into a home, I am immediately drawn to the features we need to showcase in order to market your home in the best possible position.
I am sincere, trustworthy and extremely dedicated. I value the relationships I build with my clients and work extremely hard to ensure they are completely satisfied with the process. I work hands on and even if that involves showing up with a truck to help declutter or assisting with small repairs, I am there to help. This level of care has allowed me to build a very successful business on referral and personal connections.
I reside on the Island in growing suburb of Manotick, and while some may consider me somewhat of a city boy, I love the quaintness and nature space the little town offers… I have also been known to take the quad to work on the scattered occasion! In my down time I enjoy staying active and very social. I enjoy playing softball, lounging by the pool with friends, and walks with my dog Bowser. I am a travel enthusiast and love to escape as often as my schedule allows.
In today’s world of real estate, you want confidence and supreme service. As a knowledgeable full-service agent, Julie goes the extra mile all of the time.
Julie grew up in Owen Sound, Ontario, spending every summer at the family cottage on Georgian Bay. After Western University, she ventured West to Whistler for what was meant to be one ski season that morphed into seven years. To support her active lifestyle, she worked her way up the ladder at a start-up with their head-office in Whistler and quickly became Marketing Director, traveling across North America to attend corporate functions. Next was Blackcomb Helicopters to manage their Head office & Events. After meeting her husband, came the decision to move back to Ontario for the next phase of life…marriage & motherhood.
Fast forward a few (or twenty) years, now the mother of three teens, Julie has dedicated her time to succeeding as a trusted and respected Realtor®. Her attention to detail ensures satisfied repeat clients and referrals. You will be happy to have her skillful, creative forces working for you. Julie guides you through the entire process, helping you exceed your Real Estate Goals to their full potential.
Julie has volunteered on school councils, is a Past President of the Ottawa Pacers Speed Skating Club and a current Director on the Board of the Ontario Speed Skating Association. As a Level 3 judge in the sport, she trains other officials across the province. She continues to volunteer in her local community and is a member of the Realtor’s Care Committee at the Ottawa Real Estate Board.
She knows the neighbourhoods, schools, and communities where you want to be. Customer-care. Proven ability. Stress-free. That’s what real estate should be. That’s Julie.
